Earlier treatment, better outcomes.
The first months of life are when cranial and cervical asymmetries respond best to treatment. Objective measurements help you spot them early and follow every change.

Frequently asked questions
What clinics usually ask before getting started.
Still have questions? Ask usWhat is Baby Symmetry?
Baby Symmetry is a clinical platform by Grupo BS3D for assessing cranial asymmetry and congenital muscular torticollis in babies. You scan the head with an iPhone 14 or later, the Medixa scanner or another 3D scanner, and the platform measures CVAI, CI, CVA, head circumference and 3D asymmetry, classifies the result using CHOA criteria and creates a report you can share with parents.
Do I need a 3D scanner?
No. You can scan with the Medixa scanner (Shining 3D), an iPhone 14 or later using TrueDepth, another 3D scanner, or use only GonioBaby for torticollis assessment.
How does the free trial work?
Sign up on the platform and register your card, which is only needed to activate the trial. You get at least 3 free credits to explore the platform for 7 days, and you’re only charged after the trial period, and only if you continue.
I only use GonioBaby. Do I need a subscription?
No. Using GonioBaby to assess congenital muscular torticollis doesn’t require a subscription. A subscription is only needed if you also want to analyse 3D models on the platform.
Is there an Android app?
Yes, for torticollis. The Baby Symmetry app is iPhone-only, because the 3D head scan relies on the iPhone’s TrueDepth sensor; it also includes GonioBaby. On Android, GonioBaby is a dedicated app for torticollis goniometry. Scans from the Medixa or another 3D scanner can be uploaded to the platform from any device.
Which file format does my scanner need to export?
The 3D model must be captured with texture (colour). Compress the .obj, .mtl and .jpg files into a single .zip before uploading it to the platform.
Can I add my clinic’s logo to the report?
Yes. Reports can carry your clinic’s logo, name and details, so the document you give parents carries your brand.
I’m finding it hard to scan. Can I use a mirror?
Yes. A mirror at the right angle helps with positioning. BS3D can supply a mirror designed for this, plus a support for scanning the baby.
Is the data reliable? Which parameters are used?
Capture is done by the iPhone sensors or your scanner, and analysis uses established parameters: CVAI, CI, CVA, 3D asymmetry and head circumference, among others. The platform classifies plagiocephaly, brachycephaly or dolichocephaly automatically using CHOA criteria.
